Community Donations for Crowd Funding and Personalized Funding

Why you love it — Our Organization used Zeffy to help with a fundraising campaign to raise money to purchase new marching band uniforms. We love that we can use Zeffy to help with individual student fundraising by utilizing the 'Questions' feature in the site. We can also use the same campaign to spread throughout the community quickly with a QR code and/or direct link for mass crowd funding.

One thing you'd repeat — The one thing that I would repeat is the way we formatted the fundraiser for mass crowd funding. We split up the total cost of a full uniform ($500) into 30 smaller payment options for a much lower donation but for more donations all together. This way the contributor's typical max donation is $30 - unless they want to donate more. More people will donate $1-$10 than asking for $100 from one person. This can also be done in a 'calendar' style fundraise (which we have done in the past with zeffy as well and plan to do again in Aug). The QR code feature being printed on flyers and posted around the community has also helped and we will be doing again this coming Aug.
