Peer-to-peer Campaigns!
At Extra Mile Pediatrics our nonprofit model is set up in a way that peer-to-peer campaigns are often the format we use with Zeffy!
We have done this in two ways:
Primarily we use peer-to-peer fundraising for upcoming volunteer trips. In this situation we essentially have a group of volunteers creating their own Zeffy pages under the Zeffy page for their specific trip. With their page they are able to customize wording/picture/etc. then use their link to share directly with their supporters for fundraising! We have had volunteers share their link via email, word of mouth, fundraising events, social media, etc. Funds go directly to their page so we can easily track how much is allocated to which volunteer which is very important for this type of situation wherein each person is responsible for raising a certain amount.
Another way we have started to use peer-to-peer is for in person small events hosted by our supporters. This is in area of fundraising that is growing for us currently! Essentially we have a group of supporters that want to host a small group gathering in benefit of our nonprofit. This can look like a dinner party, documentary screening, wine tasting, presentation, etc. If the hosts wishes to have funds from their event tracked specifically/separately a peer-to-peer campaign is a great way to go! This is then especially helpful for both the nonprofit and host to follow up with guests, send thank yous, etc.
Hope this helps anyone interested in peer-to-peer campaigning! Please let me know if you have questions or would like to chat further!
Cheers,
Katelyn
