Why we love it - When my online community heard we would receive every dime donated, a shift was made. Now we’re putting on a community archive event where we can persevere Black history on the spot.

One thing we’d repeat - Fundraising on social media platforms. Being consistent in creating videos and carousels(slideshows). Not only asking for donations but showing the work. Taking people along for the entire ride. The highs and the lows. Engaging with the community. Doing all of this reminds people there’s a human behind this. It makes things more personal. I was able to reach everyone from neighbors to NBA players like Kyrie Irving. So post! You never know who may be watching.
