Why it worked - For starters, it is difficult to get people to donate easily. We had previously used PayPal which was not easy to use and some of our customers wouldn't use it. It was not easy for customers to designate what the donations were for directly in PayPal, so we had to guess a lot of times.

Then We Discovered ZEFFY!

Zeffy forms are so well built, and the configuration is very customizable. We decided to create our "Donation" Link as an "All-In-One" easy-to-use form for our organization. It includes a drop down question stating "What is this donation for?" and our built-in answers list include all of the following... Sponsorships, General Donations, Art Purchases, and Giving Tuesday! We can add or subtract items at any time. We also like the fact that the Donation Link is always the same for our customers which provides reliability and trust for our supporters.

I feel that other nonprofits can use this example to create their own branded and dedicated donation links that let their programs be highlighted and supported.
