Thank you for taking the time to learn about our Roots & Wings program. At its heart, this project is about walking alongside women who have experienced human trafficking—offering not quick fixes, but steady, trauma-informed care that supports healing from day one through rebuilding and, ultimately, restarting life.

Roots & Wings is a voluntary, long-term residential program that can span up to two years per resident. The journey begins with rest and stabilization, recognizing that safety, sleep, and trust are the foundation of healing. From there, residents move into rebuilding—learning life skills, engaging in trauma-informed therapy, and rediscovering their identity and worth. Finally, the program supports restarting life, helping each woman transition into safe housing, education or employment, and community connection with continued aftercare support.

While the need is enormous, our approach is intentionally personal. Healing from complex trauma cannot be rushed or scaled without losing what matters most. Transformation happens one person at a time, one step at a time. Each resident requires individualized care, consistent staffing, and a safe, supportive environment where healing can unfold at her own pace.
