Why it worked:

One of the biggest asks we get from the 2,000+ participants in our annual citywide bike tour is to provide more porta potties to alleviate long lines. Unfortunately, our costs keep increasing every year. Well sometimes you have an idea that's so good, you "just can't hold it." 

We decided to start selling naming rights to our porta potties — and the satisfaction of knowing you're helping riders get from the saddle to the throne. Potty Patrons get a title of their choosing plastered on a porta potty at the ride. We also give a special shoutout to our Potty Patrons at the event’s opening announcements.

It’s been a massive hit, and has led to some hilarious photo ops. The potty naming rights have become a hot commodity that we sell out of every year — all made possible by our Zeffy form!

What's one thing we'd repeat:

Find a way to make a mundane purchase fun! Dad jokes and light potty humor have worked quite well in this case, for obvious reasons!
