GO WITH US! : Lace Warriors | Strip Church Network | Jesus Loves Strippers

We are a global ministry serving women in the legal sex industry, primarily strip clubs. We do that three ways: non-judgemental relationship-based outreach directly inside the clubs through Lace Warriors, training and resourcing other strip club ministries worldwide through Strip Church Network, and reaching entertainers where they are through Jesus Loves Strippers, our online presence.
Three expressions. Three audiences. Three very different conversations.
Our small nonprofit has a large reach, and Zeffy has helped us every step of the way with 75 donations totalling $6320.
Why We Love Zeffy
As a multi-faceted ministry, one donation form can't hold all of that. A donor giving toward local strip club outreaches needs different context than someone receiving training and resources to begin their own local ministry, or a bank donating toward development of a financial management course specifically for strippers. Zeffy gets that. Their forms let us build a separate, personalized donation experience for each facet of what we do, so those wanting to support local efforts isn't getting a form that reads like it's for a ministry’s board of directors, and vice versa. The tool fits the work. That matters more than we expected it to.
What's One Thing We'd Repeat
Start with what happened. Not with what you need.
All the fundraising advice I receive says to make donors feel the gap. Tell them what isn't happening yet, what you can't afford, what's at risk. But we don't run that play. Instead, we show what their dollars actually made possible: the women we met with and the stories they told us, the manager telling us about his Sunday School teacher when he was a child, the excitement of expanding our efforts into a new city, and the woman who thanked us for chatting with her online because there was not a local ministry to reach out to her. Our focus isn’t on numbers (although we do provide those too), we focus on the emotions within those numbers.
When you open with outcomes, the conversation stops being about money and starts being about shared mission. Donors aren't filling a hole. They're part of something that's already moving. That is why we titled our outreach form “Go With Us.” That invites a different relationship entirely, and that is the only kind of relationship we want.
