Texas Band of Yaqui Indians NP *2025-2026 Raised $6835 of $8000 Goal

✅Why we love it✅
As a small cultural nonprofit, we have been able to provide emergency assistance to tribal members and families facing unexpected hardships. We have helped provide food, clothing, and other basic necessities when they were needed most. During difficult times, these acts of support remind our members that they are not alone and that their tribal community stands beside them.
Donor support has also allowed us to extend assistance to our Pueblo communities in Sonora, Mexico. Contributions have helped provide educational supplies for youth, support cultural and ceremonial activities that preserve our traditions, and address other essential community needs. These efforts help strengthen the connection between our people, our history, and future generations.
Even the day to day needs of operating a small nonprofit have been made possible through donor generosity. Funds have helped cover office supplies, administrative materials, and the basic resources needed to keep our organization running effectively so we can continue serving our members and carrying out our mission.
Just alone, March 1, 2026, through July 1, 2026, we were able to give back more than $2,000 directly to our community. For a small nonprofit like ours, that number represents far more than dollars it represents hope, compassion, cultural preservation, and the collective power of people coming together to support one another. Zeffy has made this possible.
✅What makes this especially meaningful is seeing those donations transformed into real support for our people✅
As a small nonprofit dedicated to preserving Native American Yaqui culture, language, history, and community, every donation matters. One of the features we love most about Zeffy is the Apple Pay option. It is smooth, intuitive, and honestly genius. Supporters can make a donation in just a few taps, without the frustration of entering payment information manually. By making the donation process effortless, Zeffy helps remove barriers between a willing heart and an act of generosity.
One of the greatest rewards of our work is watching donations come in, regardless of the amount, because every contribution represents someone who believes in our mission. Zeffy's automated thank-you messages ensure donors receive immediate acknowledgment of their generosity, while we personally follow up with heartfelt emails to express our gratitude. This combination of convenience, automation, and personal connection helps donors feel valued, appreciated, and connected to the impact they are helping create.
✅One thing you'd repeat ✅
Keep your donors informed, appreciated, and connected to the impact of their giving.
💜Thank every donor, regardless of the amount they contribute💜 and regularly share updates about how donations are being used. People don't just want to know that their donation was received, they want to know that it mattered. When supporters see how their collective generosity is helping families, preserving culture, supporting education, and strengthening communities, they develop a deeper connection to the mission.
Our biggest takeaway is that fundraising isn't simply about raising money; it's about building trust, relationships, and community. When you make giving easy through tools like Apple Pay, acknowledge supporters immediately, follow up with genuine gratitude, and openly share the impact of every dollar raised, donors become more than contributors, they become partners in your mission.
Because of Zeffy and the generosity of our tribal supporters, we have been able to care for families in times of hardship, support our Pueblo communities in Sonora, preserve our cultural traditions, and continue serving the Texas Band of Yaqui Indians. We are deeply grateful for every person who has chosen to support our work, and we look forward to continuing to expand our efforts and do even more for our communities in the years ahead.
A huge shout out to all the Texas Band of Yaqui Indians supporters and all those at Zeffy !
