Flatbush Community Theater is an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a growing board of committed supporters! All of your donations are fully tax deductible!!This is our mission: To provide dynamic, inclusive, and accessible dramatic programming at low or no cost to members of the Flatbush community who cannot otherwise afford to participate in theater.Flatbush Theater Project for Youth; Improv and Shakespeare and more for adults; The New Work Series  AND MORE - we seek to foster a community around art that grows from the community up!  You can be a foundational contributor and we thank those who have been with us even before we hit our nonprofit milestone!  Be part of something at its start (as a non-profit) that is sure to grow and if it has anything, has heart. <3 We love our Flatbush Community Theater Family.

So far, we’ve raised $5,933 across 31 donations.

This donation form has worked because it’s linked on our website, and it is a form/ a campaign we can rely on when we need to do fundraising outreach and let people know they can donate, but may not have the time resource to create a more specialized campaign. The message “seed our non-profit” lets people know they are coming into something at its beginning and that their donations at any amount go a very long way, truly making our programming possible in concrete ways with every donation.

Another non-profit could definitely have a similar general donation campaign, linked on their website homepage, while also creating more specialized campaigns. (When we had a Festival of New Works, we created a “pick your playwright” campaign so that different playwrights could each have their own fundraising link, for example). I think the language of “seed our non profit” is clear and lets donors know they are having a big impact as well.
