**Why the 5K Walk for Girl Justice Worked**

The 5K Walk for Girl Justice is a community-led event held each year on International Day of the Girl (October 11) that brings people together to stand for a safer, more just future for ALL girls. By walking together, participants join a worldwide movement that advances gender equity and uplifts the leadership, resilience, and potential of girls in Washington State and beyond. Our goal is to ensure every girl's voice is heard, every girl's rights are protected, and every girl has the opportunity to thrive in safe, healthy, and supportive communities. Every step taken and every donation made helps expand our organization's advocacy for girls and gender expansive youth facing systemic barriers, and build a brighter future for all.
