Why it worked: The church has had a somewhat hidden and dormant fund to help people in times of short term crisis. The fund is needed more now given the rising costs of food and gas, so it was decided to highlight the fact we have a community fund to help people and families pay rent or utilities on a short term basis until they're able to get back on their feet. We decided to try Zeffy as it's more direct than our other donation channels and very specific!

One thing another non-profit could repeat: Make your request specific to ONE item, and then post post post using the QR code especially! These URLs are WAY TOO LONG for anyone to remember, but the QR code makes donating easy!
