December 2025 Season's Greendrinks <> Our Biggest Event of the Year!

Each month, Portland Greendrinks hosts an event featuring a local nonprofit doing amazing work in southern Maine. Our December 2025 celebration at The Portland Club (a historic property in downtown Portland) was our biggest event of the year, and a truly unforgettable night. This extra special event had live music, multiple food vendors, drinks to sample, billiards, and holiday cheer from our beverage partners and nonprofits.

Most importantly, the night was a major celebration of the ten nonprofits we featured throughout 2025- and because of the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, we were able to give each nonprofit an additional donation at the end of the calendar year.

Why it worked: This event was a celebration of a year of hard work (both from our team, and from nonprofits across the Portland area). The combination of a festive atmosphere with a broad reach (ten nonprofits to support, ten beverage partners providing samples, a variety of food, as well as live music) made the event feel both festive and impactful.

We made the switch from Eventbrite to Zeffy a year and a half ago, and we love it! Zeffy not only reduces the fees we pay out of our events, but allows attendees to make additional donations (which many do- on average, we receive an additional $100 in donations per event, in addition to ticket sales).

One thing another nonprofit could repeat: Feature beneficiaries front and center, as the highlight of the event. When attendees can connect directly with the people behind the mission, both generosity and engagement grow. Our featured nonprofits have reported both increases in volunteers and donors following our events.
