Event Ticketing Through Zeffy
At Joyful Occasions, we host events people find fun and use the money raised to give back to the kids of NYC.
Given this mission, Zeffy has been a tremendous help, as we run all of our event ticketing through their platform. With this in mind, I wanted to share a few Zeffy specific tips that we use.
1. Early Bird Feature - People love to buy last minute, so helping to incentivize early purchasing is huge to get the ball rolling. It also makes it easier to push urgency to potential buyers later in the ticketing cycle, since there are less slots available to sell. Ex: we sold 3 early bird tickets to our basketball tournament, so we were able to go to other potential participants and say we only have 3 slots left.
2. Tiered pricing - It makes the lower one look enticing. With our Gala, we have 2 ticket prices - $150 and $250. Since we primarily target young adults for our events, $150 is definitely a high cost for them. However, relative to $250, it now seems a lot more reasonable.
3. Email campaigns - Given our limited team capacity, Zeffy's email campaigns related to events take a lot of hassle away. You can knock out a variety of needed emails, such as event reminders, follows up to push people to purchase, and more all in one swing. It's a great feature that I would highly recommend utilizing.
