Cantilena Member Dues for Singers

• Why it worked: This is an internal form for our Chorus members which made the Treasurer's job much easier to keep track of who paid what and when. We provided a discount code so that singers who were under a financial hardship could choose lesser dues or installments without having to go to an administrator or the Treasurer.

We also encourage members who can afford to give a little more to support those who need financial assistance to donate an additional sum. The added donations more than covered the discounted memberships.

• One thing another nonprofit could repeat: giving our members an option for how to pay and how much to pay leaves no one feeling embarrassed to ask for a scholarship or discount. We believe that fees should never be a barrier to full participation.
