Why it worked:

Our A. Fantis Derby Night event form was successful because it transformed a school fundraiser into a true community experience. We made it simple for families, alumni, and supporters to participate by creating one seamless place to purchase tickets, contribute, and rally around a shared goal, all with a fun theme. We ultimately sold 156 tickets and raise over $24,000 directly benefiting our students and school programs. Pretty stellar for a school with a student body under 200 kids!

One thing another nonprofit could repeat:

Make your event page tell a story, not just sell a ticket. Have a theme and lean into it hard. Highlight the impact behind every purchase, keep the process easy, and create multiple ways for your community to support, because people give more when they feel connected to the mission.
