Bringing A Community together for the 3rd Annual Police K9 Fundraiser

WHY IT WORKED:

This platform helped us, as a nonprofit, bring people together for a meaningful and joyful event where families could meet the police K9s and see just how deeply they are loved—not only by their handlers, but by the entire community. These K9s are more than working dogs; they are valued members of both their departments and the families who care for them. Yet many of their essential needs, including equipment, supplies, training, and medical care, are not always fully covered by budget and often come directly from the officers’ own pockets. Our event gave the community a chance to connect personally with the officers, spend time with the K9s, and share in a fun day of bowling and family fellowship. Zeffy also made registration simple and stress-free for our staff. We were able to sell 95% of our tickets and sponsorships through the platform. Most importantly, we were able to honor a fallen K9 who passed away in December, making the day even more touching and memorable for everyone involved.

ONE THING ANOTHER NON PROFT COULD REPEAT:

One of the biggest advantages of using Zeffy is that it helps us stay connected with participants long after the event ends. This makes it easier to build relationships, keep people informed, and strengthen involvement year after year. We have encourged several non-profts that we are a part of to use this platform and they absoultely love it, for all of these reasons.
