The Morels & Memories Mushroom Hunt & Alzheimer’s Fundraiser has been a successful event due to the uniqueness of the event, combining education and competition around Minnesota’s state mushroom, the elusive Morel!

The event brings the professionals in the community as they join together fighting Alzheimer’s by guiding groups of participants through the woods to find the first, largest, and most morels for prizes.

Partnerships with professional foraging organizations this year was key, as not only did they help co-promote the event, but they also stopped hosting forays the same day of the event, to encourage members to support Morels & Memories.
