*Why It Worked*

For us, consistency is key! This is the 3rd year we have run our golf tournament and while we are admittedly still learning, one of the biggest take-aways we got from our inaugural year was the ease of registering for the tournament through zeffy! To that end, we made sure we have kept the format for registering the same every year, including early purchase of mulligans, raffle tickets and putting strings. Adding tap to pay has also been a complete God send for us on the day of the tournament allowing us to take multiple credit card payments at once without people needing to scan a QR code.

*What can another non-profit replicate*

We started offering a discount code to our returning golfers this year to help draw attendance and it was a HUGE hit! Everyone who registered to play in our past tournaments was emailed when the registration form went live with a special discount code... zeffy made this SUPER easy since we had all their emails from when they registered! Once they registered, they were emailed a second discount code for a slightly lower discount to share with their friends and family who may be new to our tournament. Our volunteers also had a separate discount code so we were able to keep track of everyone attending and give accurate counts for the banquet to the caterer!
