Post-secondary students, especially international students, often don’t need another complicated thing in their lives. They need a place to belong, someone to talk to, and a community that reminds them they’re not alone. For The Net, our Zeffy donation form worked well because it helped us share that vision clearly and gave donors a simple way to be part of bringing hope. So far, 45 donors have given over $13,800 to help us support students facing poverty, hunger, depression, homelessness, trafficking, shame, and many other challenges. For us, transformation begins when hope turns into action.

One thing we’d encourage other nonprofits to consider is to lead with the real human need, not just the program details. People give when they understand who they’re helping and why it matters. Our video helped supporters feel the mission, not just read about it, and made the donation page feel much more personal.
